Use a unique password

Never reuse a password from email, banking, work, or another game. MapleTime staff will never ask you to send your password, PIN, or PIC.

Create and verify your account

  1. Create your account with an email address you can access.
  2. Open the verification link in your email. Check your spam folder if needed.
  3. Wait for the page to confirm your account is ready, then sign in to the game.

If the result is not confirmed, use the page’s check button before starting another request. Read the privacy notice for how account data is handled.

Rankings

Rankings contain character name, level, job, fame, world, guild, and position. Staff and banned accounts are excluded. Email, account name, password hash, IP, MAC, HWID, and currency are never published.

Recovery

Start a forgotten-password request at account recovery. MapleTime returns the same response whether or not the submitted account and email match, so the form does not reveal who has an account.

Only an email address already verified for that account can receive a reset link. It expires and can be used only once. Open it to choose a new password; do not copy it into another site or send it to anyone.

Recovery proves ownership through the verified inbox. An unverified account, or one whose old verified inbox is inaccessible, cannot bypass that proof.

Older accounts are not automatically marked verified. While you still know the password, confirm an email through the account page before relying on recovery.

Sign out of the game normally before completing a password reset. If the account is in use, recovery does not force a logout; exit the game and begin a new recovery request.

If you are already signed in and know the current password, use the account page instead. That password-change flow asks for the current password and is separate from email recovery.
