Registration
MapleTime processes your account name, email, and password to create a game account. The password is hashed before the request is queued. Plaintext passwords are never stored and never reach the content system.
Pending data and verification tokens are deleted after completion or expiry. Results are kept up to 30 days for delivery and abuse investigation.
Abuse prevention
The portal keeps short-lived, keyed hashes of network identifiers for rate limiting and uses Cloudflare Turnstile when registration is open. It does not publish these identifiers.
Rankings
Public rankings contain character name, level, job, fame, world, guild, and rank. Staff and banned accounts are excluded. Account names, email, password hashes, IP, MAC, HWID, and currency are never included.
Client files
MapleTime does not collect or distribute proprietary MapleStory clients, DLLs, binary WZ files, music, or artwork.
