Is MapleTime free?
Yes. There are no purchases or donations on this website.
MapleTime does have an in-game NX Cash Shop with functional items, including enabled EXP and drop coupons. Monsters can drop 100- and 250-NX cards. See progression and rates for the current rules.
What do I need to play?
Windows 10 or 11, about 4 GB of free disk space, and a MapleTime account.
Can I download the game here?
Yes. The Windows installer includes the game and its setup. No separate client or server settings are needed.
Why does my browser or Windows warn me?
The installer is unsigned, and Google Drive cannot scan a file this large. Read the warning beside the official download before continuing. Never disable antivirus protection or add exclusions.
The published SHA-256 proves that your file matches the release; it does not prove that any file is malware-free.
Can I play on macOS or Linux?
There is no native build. The client is a Windows program, and some players run it through compatibility layers, but we cannot support that.
How do I make an account?
Register on the account page, then verify your email. Use a password you do not use anywhere else. Your account name is a game login, not a character-name reservation.
I forgot my password. Can you reset it?
Start at account recovery. The response is deliberately the same whether or not an account is found. If the supplied details match a verified account, MapleTime sends a short-lived, single-use reset link to its verified email address.
Recovery is different from changing a password while signed in: the account page asks for your current password. An unverified account, or one whose verified inbox you cannot access, cannot bypass ownership proof. Older accounts may need an email confirmed through the account page while their owner still knows the password. Sign out of the game normally before completing a reset; recovery does not force a live character offline.
What can the Cash Shop affect?
The Cash Shop includes cosmetics and functional items. EXP and drop coupon
sales and effects are enabled. In-game NX is separate from a real-money
purchase, and no payment route is published on this website. Use @rates for
your character’s effective rates.
Which version is this?
Global MapleStory v83. Use the installer from the play page.
Why is the website up when the game is down?
News and help stay available during maintenance. If the world status says Offline or Maintenance, wait before trying again. Reinstalling will not bring the world back online.
Is my account data safe?
Use a unique password and never share it or your recovery links. Rankings show character details, not your login name or email. Read the privacy notice for what MapleTime stores and displays.
