Client 1.6.17 fixes start-up on handheld PCs such as the ROG Xbox Ally X.
- The game window opened only when the display listed its size at the screen’s
current refresh rate. A 120 Hz handheld can list smaller sizes at other rates
only, so the client stopped with
error code : -2147467259 (Unspecified error). It now opens at any refresh rate, with nothing to change in Windows. - If the client still cannot start, its error names the cause instead of
Unspecified error.
Install 1.6.17 over your current client; your settings are kept. Nothing else changes from 1.6.16.
The installer is unsigned. Microsoft Defender has reported a detection for the legacy game executable; this release does not claim independent antivirus clearance. Review security detections before running the software. A matching checksum identifies a file, not whether it is safe.
